Featherville Forced to Evacuate

(FEATHERVILLE) – The Trinity Ridge Fire forced the evacuation of yet another central Idaho town over the weekend. Nearly 350 homeowners in the community of Featherville were told to leave Saturday afternoon. The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office reported visibility levels at less than 30 yards, with smoke so thick in some places that it prevented air tankers and other aircraft from helping fire crews on the ground. More than 1,100 firefighters are currently battling the blaze.
