(BROOMALL, Pa.) — Funeral services for Garrett Reid, son of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid were held on Tuesday. More than 900 people attended including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook.
The younger Reid was found dead Sunday in his dorm room at Eagles training camp. He had been with the team, assisting with the strength and conditioning coaches.
“He’s a young man that had struggle, just like a lot of other young men,” Westbrook said of Reid’s battle with drug addiction. “Unfortunately he didn’t win the battle. He tried hard and was getting a lot better.”
