(BROOKLYN, Mich.) — Greg Biffle won the race and took over the Sprint Cup points lead as well on Sunday after he won at Michigan International Speedway. Biffle says his team is in it to win it now.
“I know that a lot of people don’t expect us to win the championship, and don’t expect us to compete for the title,” Biffle said. “I don’t care what they say or who they want to talk about, but we will be a factor when it comes down to Homestead. I promise you that.”
It was the 12th victory for Roush Fenway Racing at MIS, breaking a tie with the Wood Brothers for the most wins at the track.
Mark Martin, who won the poll headed into the race, crashed his No. 55 Toyota on lap 65, but was happy to come out unharmed.
“I’m glad I’m okay and I’m glad I got to drive that thing it was awesome,” said Martin. “I wish we could of finished the day off, but I’m so grateful to have a chance to drive racecars like that.”
Brad Keselowski finished in second followed by Kasey Kahne.
