Idaho Falls to Propose Property Tax Increase

 

(IDAHO FALLS) – The city of Idaho Falls is considering a three percent increase in property taxes. Officials say the city’s bills are piling up, while the tax rate hasn’t changed in three years. They say that with property values lower, it’s necessary to raise the overall rate to keep revenues the same. The City Council won’t be voting on the budget until later this month, and plans to discuss the proposal at a public meeting next Thursday.
