(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) — The New York Islanders signed defenseman Griffin Reinhart, the fourth pick of the 2012 NHL Draft, to a three-year, entry-level contract.
In 58 games for Edmonton of the Western Hockey League last season, the 18-year-old had 36 points to go along with a plus-23 rating.
The 6-foot-4, 202 pound rookie is the son of former NHL defenseman Paul Reinhart.
