Mother of “GMA” Co-Host Robin Roberts Passes Away

#TeamRobin/ABC News(NEW YORK) — Lucimarian Roberts, the mother of Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts has died.
On Thursday, Robin Roberts started her medical leave from the ABC morning show a day early to travel to Mississippi, battling Isaac-flooded streets to spend time with her mom, who had fallen gravely ill. Lucimarian Roberts was 88 years old.
Robin Roberts, a breast cancer survivor, announced in June she would undergo a bone marrow transplant to fight myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder that affects the bone marrow, which she said was caused by her cancer treatment.
Roberts intended to begin her medical leave on Friday to undergo the transplant with marrow donated by her sister Sally-Ann when their mother’s health took a sudden decline.
