Obama Contacts POW’s Parents

(HAILEY) – The family of Idaho POW Bowe Bergdahl was contacted by President Obama earlier this summer. Bob Bergdahl of Hailey says the president is committed to bringing his son home and that he’s more confident than he’s ever been that the military is doing everything in their power to make it happen. Bergdahl remains the only U.S. prisoner of war in the Afghan conflict, having been captured over three years ago. Administration officials say a prisoner exchange with the Taliban may be in the works.
