The Buckeyes reinstated the senior linebacker Friday after he missed a month of offseason workouts and all of training camp due to a July 6 arrest, when he was dismissed from the team.

Head Coach Urban Meyer suspended the former starter shortly after the arrest when he allegedly “violently and purposefully” grabbed a woman with whom he shares a child.

The charge of domestic violence against Klein was dismissed, and he also pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct on Wednesday.

Meyer re-evaulated Klein and decided to allow him to return to the team, although he lost his starting job during spring practice and missed over a month of workouts.

There still could be punishment coming, as Klein faces a minimum two-game suspension, but he is once again part of the team.

The Buckeyes are thin at the linebacker position and Klein’s return could add depth to the rotation.
