Outed” Dem Withdraws From House Race
(POCATELLO) – A Democratic state House hopeful has dropped out of the race, citing personal issues. 23-year-old Nate Murphy of Pocatello was inadvertently “outed” as a bisexual by U.S. congressional candidate Nicole LeFavour of Boise earlier this year. LeFavour told the New York Times that Murphy would take up her legacy as an openly gay lawmaker. Murphy also faced issues related to a previous marijuana conviction. Bannock County Democrats are seeking a replacement to run against Republican Dave Bowen.
