Owner of “Wolf People” Fined

(SANDPOINT) – A northern Idaho woman who operates a sanctuary for wolves has been fined after a wolf escaped from her facility last year. Nancy Jean Taylor has been ordered to pay $400 in fines related to her misdemeanor for failing to report the wolf’s escape to authorities. Taylor maintains that the animal would have likely died before it could be shot because it had kidney failure. The animal’s remains are still unaccounted for.
