Strauss/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — The parents of Zachary Hartwell, the passenger who died along with Jackass star Ryan Dunn in a 2011 high-speed car crash in Pennsylvania, are suing Dunn’s estate and the bar where Dunn had been drinking before the crash, according to TMZ.com.  They allege that Dunn was very drunk when he wrecked his Porsche and that he is responsible for their son’s death.

Police found Dunn’s 2007 Porsche 911 off the road in the woods and fully engulfed in flames. Dunn, who was driving, and Hartwell died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

The Hartwells say in their lawsuit that Barnaby’s West Chester, the bar that Dunn was at prior to the wreck, was negligent because they served Dunn even though he was obviously very intoxicated. The Hartwells say that Dunn was reckless and negligent for driving while drunk and at speeds in excess of 130 mph.

The Hartwells are asking for unspecified damages, and they want Dunn’s estate to cover Zach’s funeral costs and other costs related to his death. The Hartwells also want both parties to pay for the wages Zach would have earned during his lifetime.

Dunn appeared in the Jackass movies, and also appeared on MTV’s Homewrecker and Viva La Bam, as well as on the Spike TV show Bam’s World Domination.
