Peyton Manning on His Recovery: ‘Still Have Work to Do’

SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1345061963091Justin Edmonds/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Over the offseason, the Denver Broncos were able to land perhaps the biggest free agent in the history of the NFL when they signed quarterback Peyton Manning. And though Manning feels healthy after spending all of last season recovering from neck surgeries, he admits he’s not getting any younger.

“I still have strength to recover, still have work to do,” Manning told Jim Rome. “I am 36 years old. My arm has a lot of yards and a lot of touchdowns on it, so it’s probably not going to be the same as it was when I was 22, but I still think it can complete some passes. I can move the chains and hopefully get our offense into the end zone this year.”

In his last season playing for the Colts, Manning threw for 4,700 yards and 33 touchdowns.
