Pongyan Gets Ten Years For Garner Stabbing

(IDAHO FALLS) – The man accused of holding down 20-year-old Buck Garner during his fatal Christmas Day stabbing will spend at least ten years in prison. Brent Pongyan pleaded guilty to principal to aggravated battery earlier this year. Pongyan’s defense initially argued for probation. The main suspect in the case, Joseph Chavez, faces a jury trial in September.
