“The Bourne Legacy” and “The Campaign” Open Nationwide
Published at(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:
— The Bourne Legacy: Jeremy Renner plays Aaron Cross, who essentially replaces the Jason Bourne character made famous by Matt Damon in the previous films in the series. Cross is much like Bourne — he’s a trained assassin on the run. Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Scott Glenn and David Strathairn are back in their Bourne roles, along with newcomers Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton. Rated PG-13. [Click here to read a review]
— The Campaign: Will Ferrell stars as a long-term congressman from North Carolina who finds himself running against the director of a local tourism office, played by Zack Galifianakis. Jason Sudeikis, John Lithgow and Dan Aykroyd co-star in the comedy. Rated R. [Click here to read a review]
And opening in limited release:
— Red Hook Summer: This Spike Lee-directed feature centers on a middle-class young boy from Atlanta who spends the summer with his deeply-religious grandfather in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Jules Brown and Clarke Peters star. Rated R.
