“The Expendables 2” Tops Box Office Again with $13.5 Million
Published at(NEW YORK) — Make it two in a row for The Expendables 2. Sylvester Stallone’s action flick was the box office champ for the second consecutive weekend, earning an estimated $13.5 million.
Of the new releases, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt thriller Premium Rush made the most money: $6.3 million. However, the anti-Obama documentary 2016: Obama’s America, which expanded into wide release, collected $6.2 million in less than half as many theaters.
The Dax Shepard-Kristen Bell comedy Hit and Run opened in 10th place, with $4.7 million, and the horror film The Apparition debuted in 12th place, with $3 million.
