(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) — The Tennessee Titans have signed cornerback Jason McCourty to a six-year contract worth $43 million.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that McCourty’s deal will keep him with the Titans through the 2017 season with $20 million guaranteed.
Since coming into the NFL prior to the 2009 season, McCourty’s overall numbers have improved in every season he’s been in the league. This past season was McCourty’s best. In 15 games, McCourty totaled 103 tackles along with two interceptions. He led the team in tackles, passes defended, and tied for the team lead in interceptions.
McCourty was drafted by the Titans in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
