‘Tonight Show’ Staffers Laid Off
Published at(NEW YORK) — Two-dozen staffers have been laid off from NBC’s The Tonight Show, reports The Wall Street Journal.
The cuts are an effort to save in costs. Even the host, Jay Leno, took a pay cut to save the several jobs of his co-workers. Currently, Leno’s salary is between $20 to $25 million.
On Friday, 20 to 25 staffers were let go, while others decided to take a pay cut.
Comcast Corp., NBC’s parent company, is hoping to stop the hundreds of millions of dollars in losses.
