(LONDON) — The U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team earned a triple double from LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant scored all 20 of his points in the second half as it routed Australia 119-86, to advance to the semifinals.
The Australians closed within three early in the second half, but good defense and Kobe Bryant took over from there.
“In the second half we got off to a very bad start,” Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “I’m proud of our guys because then there was a lot of game pressure on them, and they really turned up the defense.”
The Americans will take on Argentina Friday.
