(NEW YORK) — New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will begin his injury rehab assignment this Friday night when he joins Class A Tampa as their designated hitter.
The 37-year-old Rodriguez has been sidelined since July 24 after Mariners ace Felix Hernandez hit him on his left hand, breaking it.
The 14-time All-Star is batting .276 on the season with 15 home runs and 44 RBIs in 94 games played.
