The game was a back-and-forth scoring battle, and featured only five drives that didn’t either result in a touchdown or a field goal attempt.

Smith wasn’t the only man breaking records. Baylor receiver Terrance Williams had 314 receiving yards, breaking the Big 12 single game record.

West Virginia had a pair of receivers dominate. Stedman Bailey caught 13 balls, for 303 yards and five touchdowns, while Tavon Austin had 14 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns. They became the first FBS teammates since 2007 to record over 200 receiving yards in the same game.

The loss broke Baylors’ nine-game winning streak.
