Air Quality Drops Significantly
(POCATELLO) – The air quality in eastern Idaho took a major turn for the worse Thursday as a high pressure system moved into the area. Officials with the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality say conditions are expected to be increasingly worse today. Winds are expected to move into the region by early next week that will likely reduce temperatures and begin to clear up the atmosphere. They say the next major weather system brings with it a good chance of rain, though it is unlikely that the massive wildfires in central Idaho will burn out before the first snowfall.
