MLB? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1348516748051Major League Baseball(NEW YORK) — It’s safe to say that the Los Angeles Angels are one of Major League Baseball’s most disappointing teams this season. Despite their struggles this season, Angels owner Arte Moreno says general manager Jerry Dipoto and manager Mike Scioscia are safe.

During the offseason, the Angles signed first baseman Albert Pujols and starting pitcher C.J. Wilson. After signing a couple of the biggest free agents on the market, many thought the Angles would cruise to a division title and challenge for a World Series.

Instead, the team is in third place in the AL West, and 2.5 games out of the final Wild Card spot in the American League. Even though the team hasn’t lived up to expectations, Moreno says no major changes will be made when it comes to the front office and management.

“Regardless of what happens the next 11 games, Mike Scioscia will 100 perfect return,” Moreno told MLB.com. “I have told him. He wants to come back, I want him to come back. He’s been the manager of the Angels for 13 years. He will be the manager of the Angels for a fourteenth year. Period.”

“Jerry Dipoto will be back. I think we’re learning a lot about ourselves, but [Dipoto] will be back,” he added.

Scioscia signed a 10-year contract with the team back in 2009. Dipoto is in his first season as the team’s general manager.
