Broncos Coaches Fined For Actions Against Officials

NFL?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1348554504595National Football League(NEW YORK) — The NFL has fined Denver Broncos coaches John Fox and Jack Del Rio for their actions toward replacement officals during a Monday Night Football loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Fox, the head coach, was fined $30,000 and Del Rio, who is the defensive coordinator, $25,000 dollars. “There’s nothing much to say, other than that the league has its policy, there are procedures,” Fox said of his fine. “It’s kind of an in-house thing.

Both coaches were furious and demonstrative during the game against the Falcons on national telivision, and the league called the Georgia Dome during the game to warn against the outspoken behavior, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. 

Multiple coaches across the league have been involved with the replacement referees, including New England Patriots coach Bill Bilichick who grabbed the arm of an official after the final play of their game against the Baltimore Ravens.
