Car Belonging to Nick Gordon, ‘Adopted Son’ of Whitney Houston, Found Wrecked

Picture of Nick Gordon’s car, according to TMZ.com.(ATLANTA) — Police in Georgia have discovered a severely damaged car belonging to Nick Gordon, the rumored boyfriend of Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, in the parking lot of his apartment complex. They say the vehicle was involved in a front-end accident, though they cannot confirm that an accident was reported.
Officers were responding to a complaint of loud noises early on Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in Alpharetta, Ga., north of Atlanta, when they noticed the damaged car. Gordon, who lived with Brown and Houston from age 12, lives in the complex.
“We dispatched police officers, and when entering the parking gate we found a car that had already been wrecked,” Alpharetta Dept. of Public Safety Executive Officer George Gordon told ABC News.
While TMZ.com reported that the two were involved in a “scary car accident in Georgia,” Gordon said that he cannot confirm reports that Nick Gordon and Brown were in an accident.
According to an incident report, the black 2012 Chevy Camaro, registered to Gordon, was found, “with extensive front end damage backed into a parking space on the [complex’s] second level parking deck.”
“The vehicle also had emergency flashers on and the air bags were deployed,” the report says. “It appears that the vehicle was in a front end collision … it was apparent that the vehicle was driven into the parking deck already damaged.”
After seeing the damaged car, police knocked on the doors of the apartment where the noise had been reported. According to the report, officers heard noise when they arrived, but once they identified themselves as police, the noise stopped. No one answered the door or responded, so the officers left the scene.
No one has yet contacted Alpharetta police to provide any details or to request a report regarding the damaged vehicle, and a determination will be made whether this incident should be investigated, police told ABC News.
Gordon, who Houston invited to live with her and her family after learning that his birth mother could no longer care for him, recently made headlines after he tweeted a photo of himself driving while brandishing a handgun. He soon took the image down.
The nature of the relationship between Gordon, 23, and the 19-year-old Brown, and whether it has evolved from a brother-sister bond to something more, has been questioned since the Feb. 11 death of Houston at the age of 48. Gordon told ABC News in March that he is not dating Brown, but they are “just close — just going through her mom’s passing and grieving together.”
Just how their relationship has evolved since Houston’s death is not entirely clear. On Aug. 10, Bobbi Kristina posted a photo to her Instagram account of the pair kissing.
“1 of the main reasons why i even smile today.:) iloveyoubooboo , forever&always. “it’s just US now”..@Nickdgordon {<3},” she tweeted alongside the photo.
The two are slated to appear together on an upcoming reality series for Lifetime, The Houstons: On Our Own. The 14-episode show, which is set to premiere at the end of October, will follow Brown, Gordon and Houston’s sister-in-law Pat, brother Gary, and mother Cissy, as they “try [to] pick up the pieces,” according to a press release.
