Charges Dismissed For Shooting Suspect
(POCATELLO) – Charges have been dropped for a man accused of shooting another man at a Pocatello coffeehouse two years ago. Last month authorities determined that Gerald Durk Simpson, who suffers from a severe mental condition, is unfit to stand trial. Simpson shot Ryan Mitchell during the incident, who has since undergone a long, painful recovery. Officials say Simpson has been released into the custody of his sister and legal guardian.
