(JOLIET, Ill.) — The green flag drops on NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup championship this Sunday afternoon with the running of the GEICO 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.
Denny Hamlin comes into the Chase as the top seed, thanks to his four victories during the regular season.
“I don’t know if the pressure changes that much,” Hamlin said. “I mean I am not going to put anymore on myself. I am going to race week to week and just concentrate on getting the best finish that day.”
Also competing in the Chase this year are Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr. and Jeff Gordon.
