The Falcons improved to 4-0 on the season and are off to their best start since 2004.  They are also 4-0 for the third time in team history.

Matt Ryan had another huge game, throwing for 369 yards and three touchdowns, despite being sacked a career-high seven times.  Receiver Roddy White hauled in eight passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns.

Running back Michael Turner added 103 yards on the ground and a 60-yard touchdown pass from Ryan.

The Panthers, who dropped to 1-3 on the year thought they had the game won when Cam Newton tried running for a first down with under a minute remaining.  He fumbled the ball and forced the Panthers to punt.

Ryan led the Falcons down the field in a series which was highlighted by a 59-yard pass to White, setting up the Bryant field goal.

Newton rebounded from a tough game against the Giants in week three by throwing for 215 yards and two scores, while also running for 86 yards and a touchdown.
