(BOISE, ID)  —  The average price for a gallon of gas in the Gem State has jumped to $3.85. Though Idaho’s prices are above the national average, nine states — including Oregon and Washington — have gas prices above $4.00 per gallon. Officials say the current average is about 14 cents higher than it was at this time last year. They expect prices to drop once the demand goes down after a busy summer travel season.
