(SALMON, ID) — Idaho Governor Butch Otter was in central Idaho Monday touring the command centers for the Mustang Complex Fire. The blaze grew by more than 20,000 acres over the weekend to just under 300,000 acres. More than a thousand firefighters from multiple agencies have been battling the flames for the last month — a fire that could easily continue until the snow flies. Otter praised the efforts of those working to keep the city of Salmon and surrounding communities out of harms way.
