(BOISE) – Idaho’s average household income has dropped nearly 9 percent since 2008. As of this year, the average Gem State household is taking home $43,000 per year. Idaho is one of eight states to see declines over the past three years, with only Nevada and Georgia seeing worse drops. Nearly 17 percent of Idahoans are living below the poverty level, including nearly 80,000 households receiving food stamps.
