(JACKSON, WYO)  — Nearly a thousand Jackson residents are still on alert about a possible evacuation on the south end of town. Those living in the Cache Creek and Game Greek drainages are being encouraged to have a “go-kit” ready in the event that the Horsethief Canyon Fire reaches residential areas. The blaze has burned nearly 3,000 acres since Saturday, and more than 200 firefighters are battling the flames in the mountains above Jackson. The fire is about 10 percent contained.
