Revis’ status is now unknown as Revis has admitted he’s “in a fog.”

Revis has come out and said that he wants to play this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Still, he knows it’s ultimately out of his control.

“It’s not my call. It’s the doctor’s call,” Revis said according to the New York Daily News. “Whatever they say goes. I would try to be out there with a broken leg. They know that. It’s a competitive spirit in me that just wants to go out there and play. If I feel fine, which I do, then we’ll go from there.”

Unless Revis is fully cleared to take the field, the Jets won’t take any chances.

“If he’s not 100%, then Darrelle won’t play,” Jets head coach Rex Ryan said on Thursday. “It’s as simple as that.”

Revis is considered by many to be the best cornerback in the NFL. Last week he recorded five tackles and an interception against the Bills.
