Lawsuit Against John Travolta Dismissed
Published at(NEW YORK) — A Los Angeles judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought against John Travolta by an author who released a book alleging the actor engaged in sexual activities with other men in spas.
Robert Randolph had stated in his suit that Travolta’s attorney, Marty Singer, wrote a letter that made false claims that he spent time in a mental institution in an attempt to discredit his book, You’ll Never Spa in This Town Again.
The letter was sent to Gawker.com after the website published an article highlighting Randolph’s claims.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the judge dismissed the complaint Thursday, ruling that the letter is protected under the First Amendment.
Two male masseurs sued Travolta earlier this year, claiming sexual battery and sexual harassment, but later dropped their complaints.
