No.1 Alabama Rolls Past Florida Atlantic 40-7

Michael Chang/Getty Images(TUSCALOOSA, AL) -- AJ McCarron passed for three touchdowns and Eddie Lacy rushed for 106 yards and a score as the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide steamrolled Florida Atlantic 40-7.

McCarron threw an 85-yard touchdown strike to Kenny Bell on the game's first drive and Alabama (4-0) never looked back.

Florida Atlantic (1-3) only had one first down through the first three quarters and was outgained by Alabama 503-110 in total yards.

Alabama was shooting for a third consecutive shutout for the first time since 1966, but didn't get it when Florida Atlantic quarterback Graham Wilbert hit Alex Deleon for a six yard score with 2:49 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Crimson Tide has beaten nine of its last 17 opponents by 30 points or more.
