It was the 74th win at Oregon State for head coach Mike Riley, which tied the school record for wins set by Lon Stiner.

Freshman running back Storm Woods led the Beavers (2-0) with 96 yards and a touchdown.  His score with 1:21 left in the third quarter put his team up 24-10.

Quarterback Sean Mannion passed for a career-high 379 yards and two touchdowns.  Receivers Brandin Cooks and Markus Wheaton combined to haul in 325 of those yards and both scores.

Brett Hundley threw for 372 yards and a touchdown for the Bruins (3-1), who are likely to slip out of the top 25 with the loss.

UCLA came into the game ranked second nationally in total offense averaging 600 yards per game, but were held to 444 total yards by the Beaver defense.
