Reggie Bush Expected to Miss A Few Weeks

NFL? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1348516704831National Football League(NEW YORK) — Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush was already off to one of his best seasons in the NFL, but his career-setting season will have to take a pause. Bush is expected to miss a few weeks with a knee injury.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Bush took a helmet to the left knee that could cause him to miss at least a few weeks. Despite the injury and location, Bush’s injury is not considered to be season-ending. He is expected to make a near full recovery.

This will be a tough blow to the Dolphins offense. This will put more pressure on rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill to perform at a higher level. The team ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards per game, but just 25th in passing yards per game.

For Bush personally, this injury will likely keeping him from reaching his personal goal he set for himself heading into the 2012 season. Bush made it known multiple times that his goal was to lead the NFL in rushing.

In his first season with the Dolphins, Bush ran for 1,086 yards after never rushing for more than 581 yards in a single season during his five years with the New Orlenas Saints.
