(NEW YORK) — Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are poised to leave NBC’s The Voice after the current season, and the network has already lined up their replacements, according to Us Weekly.
The magazine reports Usher and Shakira will step in for Christina and Cee Lo when The Voice begins its fourth season next spring.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Usher and Shakira are “near deals” to join the show, and that the status of the current coaches –- Christina, Cee Lo, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton — is uncertain. However, Us Weekly is reporting that Adam and Blake are set to return.
Last month, executive producer Mark Burnett was quoted by Billboard as saying that the current coaches have a “seat for life” on the show. He also said that any replacement coaches hired by the show would be cast only for one season.
