Published at(JOLIET, Ill.) — Ricky Stenhouse Jr. picked up his fifth Nationwide Series victory on Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway. The victory put Stehouse Jr. on top of the season points lead as he cruised into victory lane.
Stehhouse Jr. passed Kyle Busch with 20 laps left and never looked back.
“It’s never giving up, we had an okay car, it seemed to take awhile to get going,” said Stenhouse Jr. after the victory. “It’s just an all around team effort.”
Busch would have liked a victory but was satisfied with his car and team’s effort.
“We had a really good car, it ran well throughout the race,” said Busch. “I thought there wasn’t anybody back there that we had to deal with. The six (car) comes out of nowhere at the end.”
Austin Dillon finished in third, Brad Keselowski took home fourth, and Paul Menard finished in fifth.
