Snoop Dogg, Brad Pitt Endorse Four More Years of Obama

ALBERTO PIZZOLI/AFP/GettyImages(NEW YORK) — Snoop Dogg may be changing his image from rapper to reggae artist, but he doesn’t want the White House to undergo that kind of identity change. If it was up to him, President Obama would have four more years to “get his thang together and finish his deal out,” Snoop said when asked about the election at a press conference.
“They need to give Obama four more years, man,” he told reporters at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Huffington Post reports. “I mean, Bush f***ed up for eight years, so you gotta at least give [Obama] eight years. He cleaned half the s**t up in four years, realistically. It ain’t like y’all gave him a clean house. Y’all gave him a house where the TV didn’t work, the toilet was stuffed up — everything was wrong with the house.”
Snoop, who was promoting his film Reincarnation. which chronicles his attempt to break into the reggae music scene as “Snoop Lion,” gives the president credit for making the world more “peaceful” by killing Osama bin Laden.
“He went and knocked down the most hated, most wanted, the one who had our terror alert on Orange or Red, whatever color it was on,” the rapper/reggae singer said. “He went and found him and knocked him down, so don’t forget about that. Now everybody is peaceful and able to move and have a good time — it’s because he made that happen.”
Days after Snoop Dogg said he was hoping for four more years of Obama, actor Brad Pitt expressed the same sentiment. Months after his mother wrote an op-ed supporting Mitt Romney, Pitt reaffirmed his support for the opposing candidate, President Obama.
“I am an Obama supporter and I’m backing his election campaign,” Pitt said at a London screening of his latest movie Killing them Softly, the The Telegraph reports.
Pitt’s mother, Jane Pitt, penned an op-ed in the Missouri’s Springfield News-Leader in July calling on Christians to vote for Romney because, she said, Obama “is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
Pitt, an ardent supporter of same-sex marriage, said at the screening that “gay marriage is inevitable” and that “it is just a matter of time before it becomes a reality.” President Obama is a supporter of civil unions granting same-sex couples the same rights as heterosexual couples. Romney opposes gay marriage.
