Stocks Finish with a Slump
Published at(NEW YORK) — Stocks on Friday called it a week, a month and a quarter in the minus columns.
The Dow closed down 49 points, to close at 13,437. The Nasdaq lost 20 points, closing at 3,116. The S&P gave up six points and closed at 1,440.67.
Even with the declines, stocks posted small gains for the quarter, with the Dow rounding off it’s largest monthly gain in three months.
Still, the global economy — with all it’s troubles — is leading investors to cash out U.S. stock mutual funds, the Wall Street Journal reports.
