Teacher Accused of Sex Abuse Acquitted

(BURLEY) – A former Oakley High School teacher accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old student has been acquitted. On Friday a Cassia County jury found Alvin Andrew not guilty of three felony charges after only two hours of deliberation. The alleged victim, who is now 20, claimed Andrew molested her in a school closet back in 2007. Andrew’s defense argued that the woman’s story was inaccurate and that details surrounding the alleged incident did not match the timeline.
