(NEW YORK) — Adam Morrison is getting perhaps his last shot at returning to the NBA. The Former Gonzaga star has singed a one-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to his agent.
Morrison has been out of the NBA for the past two seasons, but played in Turkey last season. He averaged 11.8 points in just 22 minutes per game.
The 28-year-old was the third overall pick in the NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats, but never lived up to the lofty expectations placed on him.
In his senior season as Gonzaga, Morrison averaged 28.1 points per game on .496% shooting. His best season in the NBA was his rookie year when he averaged 11.8 points per game on .376% shooting. He wound up playing just three seasons in the NBA with the Bobcats and the Lakers. Over that span, he averaged 7.5 points on .373% shooting.
