(SALT LAKE CITY) — Utah quarterback Jordan Wynn announced his retirement on Tuesday following his fourth shoulder injury.
The 22-year-old Wynn took a hard hit on his left shoulder late in the first half of Friday night’s overtime loss to Utah State. It was his third injury to his non-throwing arm.
“After the game I talked with my dad, and it was one of those things where enough is enough,” Wynn said. “For whatever reason, my shoulders can’t hold up. It’s one of those things where later on in life I would like to be able to still use my left arm. It’s time.”
Wynn finishes his career with 4,637 passing yards, eighth most in school history.
