(MENAN, ID)  —    A brush fire west of Rexburg burned over 400 acres Sunday. BLM officials say the West Menan Fire may have been started by individuals firing weapons. Investigators say they found thousands of shotgun shells in the center of the burn zone, and that those who started the blaze may have been burning other materials as well. Over 20 engines with crews from the BLM, Jefferson, and Madison counties were on the scene until Sunday evening tending hotspots.
