Brian Kersey/Getty Images(CHICAGO) — The Chicago White Sox rallied for a win Monday that could go a long way to who wins the American League Central division.

In the final meeting between the two clubs, Chicago rallied from behind 3-0 to beat the Detroit Tigers and pushed their division edge to three games at U.S. Cellular Field.

First baseman Paul Konerko scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error from Omar Infante in the fifth inning, and the Chicago (80-66) bullpen made it hold up.

“There is still a lot of time left for both teams. … We just got to continue to grind and hope that what we do every day, day in and day out, is enough,” Chicago second baseman Gordon Beckham said. “This is probably still going to go down to the wire.”

Despite the win, the Tigers won the season series 12-6 and nine of the final 11 games between the clubs. The game was a makeup of a rainout from last Thursday.

Nate Jones picked up the victory by throwing two and two-thirds scorless innings out of the bullpen, while Detroit (77-69) starter Doug Fister took the loss.
