(ISLAND PARK) – Island Park residents are being warned about a wounded grizzly bear that could be roaming around the area. The bear reportedly charged a group of elk hunters on Saturday near Chick Creek. The hunters fired about a dozen shots at the animal before it ran away, leaving a trail of blood behind it. Officials say wounded grizzlies are extremely dangerous and unpredictable. A search for the bear is being conducted by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Idaho Fish and Game.
