Al Qaeda Leader Promotes Kidnapping Foreigners

Ingram Publishing/Thinkstock(LONDON) — The leader of al Qaeda, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, has called on Muslims to kidnap foreigners in exchange for imprisoned jihadists including Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, serving a life sentence in the U.S. for masterminding the 1993 bombings in New York City, in a two hour video posted on militant websites.
The Egyptian born Al-Zawahiri also called for the implementation of Sharia law in Egypt and urged support for the uprising in Syria.
