Animals Poached at Bear Lake Archery Range

(MONTPELIER, ID)  —  The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking the public’s help in finding the suspects involved in a vandalism and mass poaching spree at an archery range in Bear Lake County. The incident occurred the weekend of September 28 in a camping area in Emigration Canyon near the Midland Trail Bridge. Investigators say several signs were used as shooting targets and more than 30 pine squirrels, chipmunks, and forest grouse were killed and displayed as trophies.
