Bannock County Brings Formal End to Burn Ban

(POCATELLO) – Bannock County Commissioners have brought a formal end to a burn ban that has been in place since June. The resolution, which was signed Wednesday, lifted restrictions on fireworks and all open fires. The move comes after the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office and local fire officials determined that the disaster declaration was no longer necessary. Several owners of the 66 homes destroyed in the Charlotte Fire have already begun the process of rebuilding, while some say they plan to move elsewhere.
