Kasey Kahne avoided the 25-car crash and found a way to win at Talladega last weekend and spoke about picking up more points this weekend.

“You have to be prepared and ready to make changes and make the car for this time of the year,” said Kahne who sits fourth in points.  “I definitely know we have our work cut out for us at that track.”

Brad Keselowski still sits atop the points standings and was asked about racing on Saturday night instead of the usual Sunday slot.

“It allows me to be home on Sunday, which is great,” said Keselowski.  “When you can have an actual Sunday, that’s like a Sunday for normal people, it kind of makes you feel like a real person again.”

Jeff Gordon sits in sixth and is looking to pick up some points at Charlotte.

“I think overall, I think we have a great shot at being very strong,” said Gordon.

Jimmie Johnson is 14 points behind Keselowski for the lead, followed by Denny Hamlin in third.  Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss this weekend and the following weekend due to a concussion he suffered at Talladega.
